Honorary President

Jean-Loup Jacques Marie Chrétien is a French general, a fighter pilot and then a skydiver at CNES. He was the first Frenchman, the first francophone and the first Western European in space in 1982 (during the Franco-Soviet PVH mission). He was also the first non-Russian and non-American to make an extra-vehicular sortie into space.
President of AASO

Sékou Ouedraogo is a graduate engineer from the Ecole Polytechniques de Nantes (POLYTECH'NANTES), the Ecole NationaleSupérieure des Mines de Paris (ENSMP) / UVSQ and a postgraduate degree in international relationship from the Center for Diplomatic and Strategic Studies Paris (CEDS). He is the laureate of the space book prize of the aerospace festival "Des Etoiles et Ailes", edition 6 - 2015 for his book entitled "The African Space Agency, vector of development". He is an associate member of the Association of Professional Journalists of Aeronautics and Space (AJPAE) After an experience at EADS -LV aux Mureaux Engineer in charge of regulating the third stage of the Ariane 5 ESCA launcher, he joined the SAFRAN group. He is currently aeronautical project manager at SAFRAN AIRCRAFT ENGINES for which he has been working for 15 years. Sekou Ouedraogo is Knight of the Order of Merit of Burkina Faso.
Jean-Noël PODA
1st Vice President

Jean-Noël PODA holds a PhD in Hydrobiology from Paul Sabatier University Toulouse III (France) and a Ph.D. in Applied Biology from Ouaga University1 Pr Joseph Ki-Zerbo (Burkina Faso). He is a member of the National Academy of Arts and Letters of Burkina Faso, the International Mixed Unit (UMI 3189 ESS) and several networks and learned societies. He has held several positions, including Director of the Institute for Research in Health Sciences (IRSS / CNRST), Director General of Scientific Research and Innovation (DGRSI) and finally Minister of Scientific Research and innovation (2014-2015) in Burkina Faso. He is Research Director and Associate Professor in Ecosystem and Human Health (Éco Santé).

Virginie Lechantoux is a communications specialist. She studied history at the University Paris I La Sorbonne and English at the University of Cambridge in England. Virginie Lechantoux, an expert in communication, has worked in several companies for which she has organized numerous international events. His areas of expertise are networking and establishing international partnerships between state, commercial and scientific institutions.
